What is Silent Sentry?

Silent Sentry is an automatic door security system that prevents unauthorised home penetration through the front or rear door. It effectively replaces the door chain and has the benefit of inherent strength combined with being automatic - you don't have to remember to "put the chain on".

The system works by automatically recongising when someone approaches the door from the inside. The Silent Sentry device then moves a metal armature at the top of the door into the "armed" position so that the door can be safely opened, but only by a few inches (just like a door chain).

A control panel allows the home user to disarm the device, allowing entry to the home; or alternatively to re-arm the device or even to manually set-off the alarm.

The metal armature is designed to prevent anyone from forcing entry to the property once the door has been opened. A sensor detects any attempt to barge the door and will set off an escalating series of alarms (light, sound, trace element etc).
